Publishing contributions with your name and affiliation — legitimate interest in the verifiability of expert commentary (see section 5). Sending the newsletter — your consent (double opt-in). Waiting list — your consent. Traffic — legitimate interest in improving the site.
4. Who we share data with (processors)
We use vetted providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (e-mail delivery), Google (OAuth sign-in) and the European Commission's eTranslation service (on-demand machine translation of public contributions). We do not sell data.
5. Published data

6. Retention
We keep data for the lifetime of the account or subscription. After account deletion we remove personal data; your public contributions may be retained in anonymised form (as “deleted user”) for the integrity of the review process. You can end the newsletter anytime via the link in every e-mail.

8. Cookies
We use only an essential cookie for sign-in. Preferences (theme, language) are stored locally in your browser. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why the site shows no cookie banner.
