Digital Omnibus on AI published in the Official Journal

The AI Act amendment known as the Digital Omnibus on AI was published in the Official Journal of the EU (OJ L 2026/1744 of 24 July 2026) and enters into force on the third day after publication, i.e. 27 July 2026 – the final step after approval by the European Parliament (16 June), the Council (29 June), and signature (8 July 2026). This definitively confirms the postponed application of obligations for high-risk AI systems (to 2 December 2027 and 2 August 2028 respectively) and the new prohibition, from 2 December 2026, on AI systems generating CSAM and non-consensual intimate content (so-called nudifier apps).
