ČTÚ recommends assessing the obligations and adopting the measures needed to comply with the AI Act's transparency rules

A few days before Article 50 of the AI Act became applicable, the Czech Telecommunication Office recalls that the obligations fall both on providers, i.e. those who place an AI system on the market or put it into service, and on deployers, i.e. those who use an AI system otherwise than in a personal non-professional activity, and recommends proceeding in three steps: correctly determine one's own role, identify the specific obligations, and set up processes and measures to meet them. ČTÚ also states that compliance with these obligations is supervised by the market surveillance authorities of the relevant Member State, which in Czechia include ČTÚ, and that in some cases the Union's AI Office enforces Article 50 in their place.
