Code of Practice on Transparency of AI-Generated Content assessed as adequate

On 8 July 2026 the Commission, and a day later the European Artificial Intelligence Board, concluded that the Code of Practice on Transparency of AI-Generated Content adequately covers the obligations under Article 50(2), (4) and (5) of the AI Act and facilitates their effective implementation. Signatories may therefore rely on it when demonstrating compliance, although adherence to the code does not in itself constitute conclusive proof that those obligations have been met.
