Amendment to Directive 2014/90/EU

In Article 8 of Directive 2014/90/EU, the following paragraph is added:

‘5.  For Artificial Intelligence systems which are safety components within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 of the European Parliament and of the Council (^*4), when carrying out its activities pursuant to paragraph 1 and when adopting technical specifications and testing standards in accordance with paragraphs 2 and 3, the Commission shall take into account the requirements set out in Chapter III, Section 2, of that Regulation.

En el artículo 8 de la Directiva 2014/90/UE, se añade el apartado siguiente:

«5.  En el caso de los sistemas de inteligencia artificial que sean componentes de seguridad en el sentido del Reglamento (UE) 2024/1689 del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo (^*4), la Comisión tendrá en cuenta los requisitos establecidos en el capítulo III, sección 2, de dicho Reglamento al desempeñar sus actividades con arreglo al apartado 1 y al adoptar especificaciones técnicas y normas de ensayo de conformidad con los apartados 2 y 3.
